WE ARE PUTING THE “H”

BACK IN HUMANITARIAN

Millions of people worldwide are severely visually impaired and a lot of the world blindness are avoidable through treatment and prevention. Poverty is a tragedy, blindness plus poverty is a death sentence. This is the reason why the Rhonda Eyes Alliance team travels into the rural areas and cares for the eyes of the communities. By helping people to see we positively affect not only themselves but their families, their communities and their country.

Rhonda Eyes Alliance (REA) “Helping People See” program is continuous with emphasis on engaging the local community, not a short term visit with a band aid mentality.

REA’s goals are to provide comprehensive quality eye care services to meet the needs of the less fortunate, to preserve eyesight and emphasize the importance of annual eye exams. REA is operating a complete eye care vision center in Haiti and training a group of young volunteers to become optical tecnicians. Our Team consist of health care professionals and volunteers who donate their time, expertise and talent to care for the less fortunate.

REA is a non political and nonsectarian organization.
